For people living with disabilities in the Gambia, the pandemic has exacerbated existing difficulties, including access to education, health care and mobility.<\/p>\n
A pending bill with the National Assembly has the potential to make life better for thousands of persons living with disabilities in the country. The Gambia Federation of the Disabled (GFD) \u2013 a 16-member group of disability organizations \u2013 has focused much of its time pushing for the passage of this bill, which would create the nation\u2019s first law aimed at disability rights.<\/p>\n
